From one off prototypes to batches of 100’s in a wide variety of materials.
Bespoke fixturing and workholding solution systems designed around machine capacity, component to be machined and potential run time and manpower requirements. Including but certainly not limited to Tombstone based Horizontal Maching Centres, Fixed Table Based Vertical Machining Centres, Radial Table Based Vertical Machining Centres, Indexer Based Trunnion Loaded Machining Centres.
The manufacture and supply of designed fixturing. Whether manually loaded and prepared, hydraulically locked and released or robot loaded, at our site in Shoreham we will manufacture, assemble set and test your fixture before supply.
Starting with a Multi-purpose Grid Plate a Modular Fixturing system allows for quick and efficient component rotation depending of requirements on machine capacity. Utilising a grid reference system and standard hole pitching with locators on all fixtures means a speedy change and swap-over of fixtures. Without changing datums, and using in-programme offsets means this is a very efficient and simple system to use, and is very easy and cost efficient to add and supply new fixtures for.
Designed around your machines, capacity and most importantly your requirements our bespoke plate design and supply will help to allow you to maximise spindle run time and minimise machine setting and down time. Each type of plate offer different advantages and types of use. A Grid Plate is a plate with an equal grid pattern of holes, each hole allows you to locate and clamp down any fixture that will fit the machine capacity. A perfect option for modular fixturing being able to locate as well as clamp. Or used on its own to allow for more flexibility with clamping options. Slave Plates are similar to Grid Plates, but generally do not have as many holes, but can incorporate T-Slots, these can be at various angles depending on requirements. A Slave Plate can be an excellent aid in component clamping giving a wide variety of clamping options if Fixturing is not always required, especially if the pitch of existing Table T-Slots is not flexible enough. Matrix plates are usually used in Multi-Palleted or Horizontal Machining Centres, giving a full range of options from mounting Vices, to, with the use of Reverse Screw Units, being able to secure direct to Plate being able to machine completely without the worry or issue of clamps and workholding equipment.
Our detailed Quotations will give you peace of mind of exactly what you’ll receive, the processes we would use and the timeframe in which this will be achieved.
If you currently have fixtures or fixturing systems, we can investigate the possibility of repurposing or modifying these and the costs involved, and if required to undertake the production and manufacture of the Conversion or Modifying of these.
